Contests

I have been thinking about various ways to make my blog more exciting. I thought, "Why don't I hold a contest (or two)?" The stats on my blog show that I have a somewhat international audience, though predominantly from the U.S. So...since I just had to find inspiration at an awkward time of the month instead of the beginning or the end, I will have to improvise. I am planning on doing monthly or bimonthly contests, depending on how well they do. Ideas are still flowing steadily, but I haven't really come across any that I really liked. Maybe a "share your story" kind of thing. For example, "Your Most Embarrassing Moment". I dunno. Or a creativity contest. Like "Coolest Invention" or "If *insert event* happened to you". If any of you have ideas, please let me know!

As for scheduling, I am planning to release the first one on the 12th (the second Saturday of the month), and if it works out, it will close on the second Saturday of August just as another contest is released, which will, in turn, close on the second Saturday of September, and so on and so forth. Phew! That was a long sentence. Presentation...as a page, like the "How's My Blog" page that I currently have, or a post. I think a page would be more easily accessible. Or instead of a linked page, just a regular page called "Contests" or something. I think that's what I'll do. Anyway, I hope you all are looking forward to the contest for this month as much as I am!
